Beginning Thursday, August 1, a short section of the Greenway Trail will close to the public to allow crews to replace sections of concrete. The section of trail to be closed is along the 1900 block of North 8th Street which is near Paducah Water.
The contractor working for the City of Paducah, Harper Construction, will be replacing three concrete panels on the trail that have buckled. These panels are located at a gravel access road. Crews will be removing the buckled concrete and pouring new sections. The work will take approximately one week or less, weather-permitting.
Please use caution, watch for the work crews, and respect the barricades.
The Clyde F. Boyles Greenway Trail extends more than five miles linking the riverfront to several neighborhoods and parks. A large portion of the trail is constructed on top of Paducah’s floodwall levee.
