It was a beautiful Flag Day celebration on June 14, 2024, at Dolly McNutt Memorial Plaza. Flag Day marks the June 14, 1777, date that the Continental Congress approved the design of a national flag. In 1916, President Woodrow Wilson issued a presidential proclamation establishing June 14 as a national Flag Day.
The event was organized by the Paducah Parks & Recreation Department in partnership with the Sons of the Revolution, Daughters of the Revolution, U.S. Coast Guard, McCracken County Public Library, and the City of Paducah Police and Fire departments.
